Brazilian legend Pele congratulates Messi, Mbappe, and Morocco after Argentina’s World Cup win

Brazilian legend Pele has congratulated Lionel Messi and Argentina after their World Cup final victory against France, declaring that the late Argentina legend Diego Maradona would be proud of his country’s achievements.

The Brazilian Legend Pele, in his days won three World Cups as a player with Brazil.

Pele is currently hospitalised with a respiratory infection.

However, the football legend send his congratulations message to Argentina, via his Instagram page after Argentina defeated defending champion France 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a 3-3 tie at Qatar’s Lusail Stadium.

The legendary football king singled out Messi, Mbappe, and the Moroccan squad for their brilliant performance at the world cup.

He wrote, “Today, football continues to tell its story, as always, in an enthralling way. Messi winning his first World Cup, as his trajectory deserved.

“My dear friend, Mbappé, scoring four goals in a final. What a gift it was to watch this spectacle to the future of our sport.

“And I couldn’t fail to congratulate Morocco for the incredible campaign. It’s great to see Africa shine. Congratulations Argentina! Certainly Diego is smiling now.”
