IMPERFECTION by M. Lawrence

I hear her voice yet, can’t see her lips.
Trapped in the darkness of Agony; I plead for sight.
I feel her presence but, the absence of sight leaves her figure unnoticed. Her scent caress my nostrils yet, my eyes won’t give a dart.
It purges seeing not that which I love; for the picture of her is lost deep in my heart.
Sweet and bitter love the blind would get
Yet, the heart would wish it sees.

I watch her steps; it tickles my feet’s.
I wish to run to her; but, even a walk with her, my feet won’t give.
Trapped in a spot; I mope then cry…
When love walks away, I won’t be able to walk with it.
My pain; my feet.
My gain; my heart that loves…

I hear her call out to me…
Yet, I plead for an even voice to whisper.
I wrote all that I’ ll d love to say in the sand but, the rain did wash it away.
I dreamt her kiss could give me voice.
Yet, when I awoke, all it gave was pain some more.
I wrote a letter to her,
All she saw was but an Ink.
The words I’ ll d love to say won’t make it out.
My love so mute, much pain it brought.

There’s a feeling she said sweet words to me…
There’s an itching, my drums won’t yield.
I felt the silence of earth on me;
I have never heard the word ‘LOVE’ at all.
Do I have to love that which I can’t hear? And even if I ask a million times;
I won’t be hearing a billion times.

I have a heart so they say…
But, shattered like glasses, Love’s reflection is gone.
Where would Love make its bed to sleep?
When there ain’t a heart, love slips away.
then six feet’s down; my body shall lay.
