50 Cent Calls Out “Overly Sexual” Female Rappers, Says It’s Hurting Young Girls

50 Cent isn’t holding back when it comes to his thoughts on female rap today. The hip-hop mogul says modern women in rap are “too overly sexual” in their lyrics, and it could be sending the wrong message to young girls.

“Earlier female artistes used metaphors and innuendos in their raps to show how good they are. Today’s female rappers are extremely explicit in their lyrics, and this might be damaging female culture,” Fif explained.

While giving props to the huge success of female stars dominating charts, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper says there needs to be more balance and diverse storytelling in hip-hop.

Of course, his comments are already sparking heated debates online. Fans are split—some agree the music is overly explicit, while others clap back, saying women should be able to rap about sex just as freely as their male counterparts.
