Christantus Uche Set to Remain at Crystal Palace Until End of Season

Nigeria international Christantus Uche will remain at Crystal Palace for the rest of the season, despite earlier speculation that the club could terminate his loan spell in January.

Uche arrived at Selhurst Park on deadline day, joining the Eagles on a season-long loan from Spanish side Getafe. The midfielder initially struggled to settle into his new environment, prompting reports that Palace might consider sending him back to LaLiga.

However, according to Standard Sport, the club has no intention of cutting the loan short, even though Uche has had limited playing time under manager Oliver Glasner. He made a positive impression after coming off the bench in Palace’s 2–1 win over Fulham last weekend, further strengthening the decision to keep him.

The 22-year-old is also said to be keen on staying in London, as he continues adapting to Premier League football.

With the busy festive schedule approaching — and Uche unlikely to be called up by Nigeria for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations — the midfielder is expected to enjoy more regular minutes during the coming weeks.

So far this season, Uche has made five Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace.
