The Gunners have qualified for the elite club competition’s quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years after a tense penalty shootout victory over Porto on Tuesday night.
Despite a nerve-wracking performance against the Portuguese giants, the Norwegian player Martin Odegaard insists that Arsenal cannot afford to be intimidated by the traditional European heavyweights such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.
“To be honest, we can’t think like that,” Odegaard replied in his post-match interview when asked if there was any team he wanted to avoid in Friday’s draw. Martin Odegaard said
“It is the biggest tournament in the world and, no matter what team we get, it’s going to be a good team. We will just take what we get and we will try to win.”
