The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest and arraignment of Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, the younger brother of Nollywood actress and politician, Regina Daniels.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the spokesperson of the Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said Ojeogwu was arrested in Lagos following a petition lodged against him and three others on allegations of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyber-bullying.
According to the police, several invitations were extended to him for questioning but were ignored. He was reportedly apprehended based on a court-issued warrant and transported to Abuja for further investigation.
“Upon conclusion of investigations, the suspect was on the 6th of November 2025 charged to court for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft,” Adeh stated.
She added that the court has ordered his remand pending the fulfillment of bail conditions.
The FCT Police Command reiterated its commitment to “professional policing, due process, and the rule of law.”
