The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has relocated its camp in Kaduna over fears of activities of bandits.
According to a statement by the Director-General, NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, the camp for prospective corps members deployed to Kaduna in the Batch ‘B’ Stream I Orientation will hold at the Government College, Gwamna Road, Kurmin Mashi Kaduna, Kaduna State.
The NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Kaduna which is located along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway is at the outskirts of the city and in recent time has seen several activities of bandits who kidnap travellers for ransom.
The Catholic Seminary and Green Field University whose students were kidnapped recently is also located along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
The temporary camp in Kaduna for the Batch ‘B’ Stream I scheduled to open on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, is located within the Kaduna city metropolis.
