The allegations against the club involve 115 breaches of financial rules, prompting an independent panel to initiate proceedings next month.
Despite the upcoming trial, the final verdict is not anticipated until the following year. Potential repercussions for the club range from point deductions and substantial fines to relegation from the top tier of English football.
Guardiola conveyed his optimism for a prompt resolution, emphasizing the importance of clarity not only for the club but also for other Premier League teams and supporters.
He articulated his eagerness for the independent panel to reach a decision swiftly, illustrating the club’s commitment to accepting the outcome, as they have done in the past.
Guardiola said: “I am happy that it starts soon and hopefully it will finish soon.
“For the benefit of all of us, especially the club but also other Premier League clubs and all the people who don’t wait for the sentence.
“I wish, from deep in my heart, we go to trial, and the independent panel as soon as possible releases what happened and we will accept like we always have.”
