Mr. Dele Oladeji, the party’s state chairman, made the statement in honor of Nigeria’s Democracy Day. He also demanded that the official results from June 12 be made public, that the late MKO be named president-elect, and that the insignia of office be given to him.

Oladeji said the party believed that Tinubu should pronounce MKO as president-elect of the canceled June 12, 1993, official political race to end a long-waiting foul play against Nigerians.

“This request will not be for only late MKO Abiola but for all Nigerians and the world at large, who will feel a huge relief.
“It will also restore their faith and hope in the country afresh.

“At this time, June 12 Day should start to be celebratory like Martin Luther King Jr. Day.”
