Barcelona Football Club’s President, Joan Laporta, has recently made a heartfelt appeal to the club’s legendary player and current head coach, Xavi Hernandez, to reconsider his decision to leave the club at the end of this season.
Xavi Hernandez announced his intention to step down from his role as the head coach of Barcelona in January, which surprised many fans and football pundits alike.
Despite having a valid contract until 2025, Xavi has decided to leave the club after this season.
Laporta has publicly expressed his desire for him to stay with the club and continue his invaluable contribution to the team’s success.
Laporta’s appeal is a testament to the high regard and respect that Xavi Hernandez commands at Barcelona, and his departure would be a significant loss to the club’s legacy.
“I’d really, really, really like Xavi to change his mind and stay as Barça manager.
“I won’t put pressure on Xavi. It depends on him, he’s aware of my desire for him to stay here.
“We will see at the end of the season,” Laporta told Mundo Deportivo
