Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP), recently paid visits to some top political figures in Nigeria, including Atiku Abubakar, Bukola Saraki, and Sule Lamido.

According to a statement by Obi’s spokesperson, Dr Yunusa Tanko, the purpose of these visits was to discuss the state of the nation and ways to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians across all social strata and geographic locations.
The visits were in line with Obi’s unwavering commitment to the peace and progress of Nigeria.
During the discussions, the former Anambra governor and the political figures he met with examined various ways to reduce the suffering of Nigerians, regardless of their social status or location.
They also discussed strategies to help Nigeria move forward and tackle the challenges confronting the nation.
Overall, the meetings were productive, and the participants expressed their willingness to collaborate and work together towards achieving a better future for Nigeria.
“In particular, the desperate condition of the downtrodden in our midst was highlighted.
“Of particular interest and emphasis in these discussions was the worrisome situation in the Northern parts of the country.”
