The Abia State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a stern warning to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, accusing him of meddling in the internal affairs of the party despite not being a member.
In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Chiamaka Ohaka, the ADC alleged that Senator Abaribe has convened unauthorized meetings and sponsored a parallel executive in an attempt to undermine the party’s legitimate leadership in the state.
The party demanded that the senator withdraw all alleged agents and impostors parading as ADC members within 48 hours, warning that failure to do so may trigger legal action.
“For clarity, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe is not a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and has never obtained a membership form, attended meetings, or contributed to the growth of our party,” the statement noted.
The ADC further accused the senator of setting up fake executives, influencing vulnerable party officers, and spreading falsehoods aimed at destabilizing the party’s structure in Abia State.
Reacting to the allegations, Abaribe’s media aide, Uche Awom, told Vanguard that the senator would not respond to the claims.
The ADC insisted that any further attempts to hold parallel meetings or issue false statements in its name would be considered a direct attack on the party’s integrity.
