Former President of Ghana, Jerry Rawlings, is dead. He died on Thursday at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
Jerry Rawlings was born on June 22, 1947, the former military pioneer controlled from 1981 to 2001.

Jerry Rawlings drove a military junta until 1992, and afterward served two terms as the chosen President.
He left the military in 1992 and established the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He was the primary President of the Fourth Republic and was reappointed in 1996 for an additional four years.
