Churchill Confirms Reconciliation With Tonto Dikeh After Nearly 10 Years of Feud

Olakunle Churchill, the former husband of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, has confirmed that he has reconciled with his ex-wife, describing the development as a moment of healing, forgiveness and renewed commitment to co-parenting their son, King Andre.

Churchill made the confirmation in a statement shared on his Instagram page on Sunday, a day after Dikeh publicly announced that peace had been restored between them following nearly a decade of public conflict, legal battles and custody disputes.

In the statement, Churchill revealed that he recently received a call from his son for the first time, an experience he described as deeply emotional.

“I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from my son, King Andre, for the first time. Hearing him call me ‘Daddy’ was deeply touching and a reminder that what God cannot do does not exist,” he wrote.

Reflecting on their long-running feud, Churchill said faith played a crucial role in bringing clarity and resolution to the situation.

“Faith has a way of bringing clarity, humility and peace. I acknowledge the growth and grace evident in the manner in which this matter has been resolved. With God leading, healing and understanding have become possible,” he stated.

He noted that forgiveness had opened the door to a new chapter in their relationship, stressing that both parties had chosen peace and mutual respect.

“Forgiveness has paved the way for a new chapter, and we are moving forward with a sense of peace and mutual respect. The conflict is behind us, and we are now focused on co-parenting with love, care, and a shared commitment to raising our son,” Churchill said.

Expressing gratitude for the reconciliation, he added that it had allowed him to reconnect meaningfully with his son.

“I am grateful for the journey we’ve been on and the growth we’ve experienced. I look forward to a future filled with collaboration, respect and peace, trusting God to guide me. I am grateful to have my son back in my life.”

Churchill also acknowledged Dikeh’s role as a mother, thanking her publicly for raising their child.

“Thank you to the amazing mother of my son, Tonto Dikeh, for doing a good job,” he wrote.

The confirmation follows an emotional statement by Dikeh, in which she announced what she described as a “divine restoration” after nearly 10 years of strained relations marked by public accusations, court cases and custody battles.

Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill married in 2015 in a highly publicised ceremony, but the marriage ended less than two years later amid intense media scrutiny. They share one child, King Andre Churchill, and their post-separation relationship has remained one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity feuds.
