The PDP elective convention is gathering momentum as party chieftains from across Nigeria arrive at the venue. By 1:35 p.m., the stadium was almost filled, with 17 states and the FCT already accredited.
The event, earlier scheduled for 10 a.m., will now kick off at 4 p.m. to allow more delegates to settle in.
Commuters are having a tough time as motor parks around the stadium have been shut, forcing commercial drivers on routes like Eleyele, Mokola, Dugbe, Sango, UI, Ojoo, Sasa, and Agodi Gate to take alternative roads.
The atmosphere remains colourful with thousands in PDP’s green, white, and red outfits, while security personnel are fully on ground to keep things orderly.
Voting cubicles are already set up as the convention is expected to start in earnest by 4 p.m
