The Daily News (TDN) in an exclusive interviewed with Kunbi Black, as he talked about his latest movie “Sunday Night”.

TDN: Good day Sir, can we meet you?
My name is Tioluwalogo Olakunbi-Black but popularly known as Kunbi Black.
I’m a Professional Media, Entertainment and Marketing Technology executive with over 7 years’ experience in broadcasting, film making, advertising and marketing communications.
TDN: When did you start filming?
Started filming during my undergrad days at Unilag where I created a small group with fellow students and we called Campus Comedy Club. We did a number of short comedy films as well as even stage production within and outside the campus.

TDN: What prompted you into making a faith-based movie?
I took a break from everything entertainment in 2019 and only came this year with a new direction of focusing on only faith-based content and this is why I recently relaunched my entertainment career with the release of my new short film titled Sunday Night

TDN: We have had many faith based movies in recent times, is there any difference from what they offered us to what you are giving us now?
Well, I mean I respect people’s creative work a lot and I’d say kudos to all the christian filmmakers doing their best to push the gospel via filmmaking.
“However, we at African faith movies outreach (AfamoTV) are set to raise the bar with the kinds of stories we intend to tell. Our focus is on GenZ christians and the new age issues they face on a daily basis and production wise, we are intentional about changing the narrative about christian movies in Nigeria being mediocre and of low production quality. Our production is top notch as we only bring on board the very Christian technical minds who know their onions.
Watch out for us. We are changing the entire narrative of gospel films in Nigeria.”

TDN: What challenges did you encounter in the production of this movie?
“I won’t say we faced challenges because everyone on set from pre-production to post-production were all professionals and brought their A-Game on. However, I think I’d give the credit to God because He was faithful all through and kept coming through especially as regards securing the location. Yeah! Maybe that was on hiccup we had. Our initial planned location owner bailed on us last minute but our location manager was quick to rectify the issue within 24hrs and I’d say we settled for a much more better option”
TDN: Would you continue to serve us with movies that upholds your faith?
“This is a course I’m willing to die for”
Sunday Night movie is a most watch for every family across the globe, watch out.
