Former APC national chairman and ex-Kano governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has revealed that party leaders and stakeholders from Kano North have unanimously resolved to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for 2027.
Ganduje disclosed this after a three-day consultative meeting at his Kano residence with key party figures including Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, Murtala Sule Garo, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, Abba Kabir Bichi, Kabiru Gaya, Baffa Babba Danagundi, and state chairman Abdullahi Abbas.
He said the focus now is total party unity, reactivating APC offices across all 44 LGAs and 484 wards, and preparing for a fresh round of electronic membership registration. He also encouraged newly eligible youths to register with INEC and obtain their PVCs.
Ganduje added that APC leaders will return to their localities to make formal public declarations endorsing Tinubu ahead of 2027.
Notably absent from the meeting were Minister of State for Housing Abdullahi Yusuf Ata and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin. Reasons for their absence remain unclear.
