Kaduna Cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, Alleges School Abductions Are Being Used to Push ‘Christian Genocide’ Narrative

Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has claimed that the recent surge in schoolchildren abductions across the country is being deliberately engineered to promote what he described as an “unpatriotic narration of Christian genocide.”

Reacting to the latest kidnapping incident, Gumi, in a post on his verified Facebook page, warned that insecurity in Nigeria has become “a burning candle” affecting everyone regardless of religion.

According to him:

“The recent increase in spate of school children kidnappings are engineered to serve an unpatriotic narration of ‘Christian genocide’, and sadly for all, also Muslim children are kidnapped. Insecurity in Nigeria is a burning candle, it will burn out Allah’s willing.”

His comments come amid heightened concerns over rising attacks on schools and communities across the North.
